Deep Wounds of the Sichuan Quake
One of the recurring themes from last year"s earthquake in Sichuan is official corruption and the extent it contributed to the collapse of substandard schools, killing a still unknown number of children. Another, less discussed issue, is the degree to which many local officials in the disaster zone were victims themselves.
自去年四川地震以来，一个反复出现的主题是关于政府官员的腐败，以及因之产生的未达标学校的倒塌，导致仍不知确切数字的孩子们的死亡。而很少论及的另一个问题，是灾区地方官员自己成为受害者的程度。
In Beichuan, where as many as 15,000 residents were killed, a quarter of the local officials also perished in the quake. Many of the survivors lost family members. When my colleague Lin Yang and photographer Ian Teh went back to Sichuan last fall, we met with a Beichuan official whose wife and daughter were both killed on May 12. Zhang Kangqi keeps a drawing of them, sketched from old ID photos, by his bed. All other mementos of them were buried in Beichuan. We have been educated to be an honest person and telling lies is not acceptable. When we experience different stages of life, we will find lies sometimes are acceptable.

When we are very small, we have read about many fairy tales. Our parents will read them to us before we sleep. These fairy tales tell us about wonderful stories, such as the prince and princess. They show the children the importance of being a nice kid. But when I grow up, I start to see some movies about the dark side of fairy tale. Take the Snow White for example, it begins with the happy ending of Snow White. At her wedding, the witch came and cursed her child. It is not a happy ending at all. When he graduated from college, his first job was to work in the office, then he found life was boring to sit in the office all the day, so he decided to quit and then started his trip to many places. 一、教学目标：

2.学习根据所给词或词组, 写出关于均衡的饮食对于保持健康的重要性的文章。

描述出保持健康的方法，以及自己的看法。
三、课前准备：
1．搜集有关描述健康的词汇如：eating habit , important , food , strong, keep, healthy，vegetable ,fruit 等词语。(先扫除词汇上的困难)
2．收集自己亲身经历过的如何保持健康的方法与经验以供讨论。（加强同学中的相互交流）
四、教学过程：
1.导入（Lead in）:通过讨论不同保持健康的方法，引出本节课的大任务。吸引学生，激发其学习兴趣，提高学生作为学习主体课堂参与意识。（先让学生明确所要写的主题与要求，然后同学之间进行小组讨论，一人想出一点如何保持健的观点。）
2.通过展示大量单词、词组以及学生本人的提出的保持健康方法，将他们注意力吸引到课堂中，此时老师恰到好处地让学生汇报导入任务切入主题。（要求他们用笔写出他们所想到的有关于健康的单词与短语。）
3、具体活动――设计本话题的习作：
良好的生活习惯，尤其是均衡饮食对于保持健康非常重要请就该内容写一篇英语短文，谈谈你的看法。

本节写作 课围绕“创设情境、告知目标――提出问题――解决问题――实际应用”四个环节展开，环环相扣，循序渐进，不仅体现了教师在教学中的主导作用，还充分体现了学生是学习的主体，有利于学生创新思维、创新能力的培养和提高。为了达成本节写作课的教学目标“大多数学生能够根据题目要求，分析写作要求，写出一篇要点齐全，逻辑清晰，句式较丰富的关于“健康”的文章”。本课的设计使学生从学习中学会了如何谈论保持身体健康，提高了学生学习兴趣,增加了学生的知识面，提供了一定的语言实践，锻炼了学生运用语言的能力。
